Walk This Way 2012

Our Walk a thon was held on Oct. 13th this year at the Coaling Town Park.  We gathered here to raise funds to help meet the needs of local foster children.  Sometimes they have needs that cannot be met by their foster parents or DHR and we are here to help!  Thank you for your support, participation and donations.  Many of my friends and supporters worked very hard to make this year a success.  I am so grateful and blessed!  I have included several pics of the day and it was a beautiful one!  God blessed us again with such great weather.

Defend The Orphans - Is. 1:17
Coaling, AL, United States
Our Mission statement is to extend God’s heart for the orphan to domestic and international orphans through God’s people being His hands, feet and voice sharing His love with them to the Glory of God. We are inspired by Is 1:17 that says, Learn to do good; Seek Justice, Reprove the ruthless; Defend the Orphans, Plead for the Widow. Jeremiah 29:11 says, I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Many of these children without families have given up hope for a good future but that is not what God has planned for them. We feel that if we can show them that they are loved and someone cares about their lives that they in turn will have hope and perhaps begin to open their hearts to love and trust again and most importantly to love and trust Christ. Through Christ they can overcome their past and have a bright future.

Isaiah 1:17
The church must step up and take a stand for the children in our area who need a forever home. We can no longer afford to be complacent on this issue. These are children just like yours and mine but they go to bed at night not knowing where their home really is or who their future family will be. After all God adopted us into His family when we trusted Him and He became our heavenly Father. Can we not in turn give them the love that has been given to us by opening up our hearts and homes?
